Shihan Liu
Shihan comes from a background in manufacturing, marketing, and advertising analysis, as well as conducting both qualitative and quantitative projects in an academic environment. Since she joined the Public Affairs team at Environics in early 2023, Shihan has been assisting in all aspects of the research process, and the projects range from large-scale public opinion surveys to one-on-one interviews. Shihan brings a set of analysis and reporting experience and skills and has a keen eye for detail.
Aside from the realm of public affairs, Shihan’s personal research interest is deeply rooted in food, culture, and identity. During graduate school, Shihan worked on community-based research projects on topics such as community farms in Canada and the UK, and local agritourism in the Greater Ottawa Region. For her own MA thesis, Shihan interviewed international students in Ottawa, identifying cultural gaps, and integration/exchange opportunities through food consumption and adaptation.
