We’re looking for a Project Manager who loves making complex research projects run smoothly. If you’re energized by busy timelines, thoughtful problem-solving and the satisfaction of seeing high-quality data come together, we want to meet you.

You’ll take the lead during the fieldwork stage of our market research projects, keeping the work on track, the data clean and the many moving pieces connected. You’ll partner with our internal research teams, and vendors, balancing careful planning with the ability to solve whatever comes up along the way.

This is a full-time, 12-month maternity leave coverage contract beginning October 12, 2026. While the initial term is 12 months, there may be an opportunity to extend the contract based on business needs. The role is based in Toronto and follows a hybrid schedule.

As Project Manager, you’ll own the fieldwork and data-management stages of multiple quantitative research projects. You’ll help develop realistic budgets and timelines, coordinate internal and external partners, monitor data quality and prepare reliable datasets for analysis.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the big picture and the details. One moment you may be advising on methodology or working through a vendor issue; the next, you may be cleaning a dataset in SPSS, validating a weighting scheme or making sure three concurrent projects stay on schedule.

  • Lead Fieldwork: Manage end-to-end data collection, keeping projects on time, on budget and aligned with our quality standards.
  • Own the Details: Build and maintain project plans, timelines and budgets, flagging risks early and keeping everyone informed.
  • Work With Data: Use SPSS to clean, verify, recode and prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Apply and Validate Weights: Develop or implement weighting schemes and confirm that outputs are representative and statistically sound.
  • Coordinate the Team: Bring clients, vendors and internal teams together so decisions are clear and deliverables keep moving.
  • Shape the Approach: Contribute practical input on research design and methodology to improve study effectiveness and data relevance.
  • Protect Quality: Monitor fieldwork, data quality, compliance and research ethics, resolving issues before they become problems.
  • Keep Multiple Projects Moving: Confidently manage three or more concurrent studies with competing needs and deadlines.

  • Experienced in Market Research: You have one to three years of experience managing market research projects, ideally in a fast-paced agency, consulting or supplier environment.
  • Calm-Cool-Collected: You create clear plans, anticipate roadblocks and stay composed when priorities shift.
  • Data-Savvy: You’re proficient in SPSS and comfortable with data cleaning, recoding, verification and weighting.
  • Pivot Like You Mean It: You can move between task that requires different set of skills. From checking data to pricing work to managing a vendor to fixing a boo boo.
  • A Master Communicator: You say it how it is and know how to build trust with clients, vendors and colleagues.
  • A Rubik’s Cube Enthusiast: You learn quickly, use sound judgment and take initiative when something needs to be fixed.
  • Focused: You care about accuracy, reliability and doing the work well.
  • Collaborative: You like working with others, sharing ideas and contributing to a supportive team.
  • Toronto-Based and Available for Hybrid Work: You live within commuting distance of Toronto and can reliably attend the downtown Toronto office as required.
  • Eligible to Work in Canada: You are legally authorized to work in Canada for the full duration of the contract.

  • Have managed vendor relationships or negotiated fieldwork costs.
  • Have contributed to quantitative research design or methodology.
  • Have worked across several research projects at once in a fast-paced agency or consulting environment.

  • Competitive compensation including health benefits.
  • Amazing vacation policy.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • The option to work from our awesome office in the downtown core, walking distance from all major TTC stops and Union Station.
  • Meaningful ownership of projects from fieldwork planning through clean, analysis-ready data.
  • Exposure to a variety of clients, research questions and methodologies.
  • A friendly, experienced team that values good judgment, curiosity and collaboration.
  • The opportunity to make a visible contribution during a 12-month maternity leave coverage contract, with the possibility of an extension.
