Pink Triangle Press Commissioned Environics Research on National Study on 2SLGBTQIA+ Health Disparities
Pink Triangle Press has released the Pink Paper on Health, a national research report examining health outcomes, access to care, quality of care, and experiences of discrimination among 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Canada. The study was funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada and conducted by Environics Research.
The findings are based on a cross-sectional survey of more than 2,100 respondents nationwide, half of whom identify as 2SLGBTQIA+. The research shows that 2SLGBTQIA+ communities experience poorer health outcomes, reduced access to healthcare services, and higher levels of discrimination compared with non-2SLGBTQIA+ Canadians.
