Learning, Sharing, and Growing
Last week was the Spring 2025 IRIS Market Research Worldwide meeting in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. As always, it was an inspiring couple of days filled with conversation, presentations, and keynotes.
We learned about new tools and approaches for dealing with the uncertainty facing our world and our industry. An important takeaway is that while AI is here to stay and provides multiple opportunities, the key is the humans who drive and prioritize inputs and outputs from these tools.
We shared various business challenges facing the industry and our companies. Recruitment and retention of top talent are always important. We saw how balancing challenge and support enables high performance from employees – our most important assets. Not only did we grow as individuals from all the learning and sharing, but we also grew our network, adding new members Strategy Solutions Latin America from the Dominican Republic and moweb market research from Germany. Thanks to everyone who participated and especially to our hosts Matt Nelson and Megan Nelson.
After the conference I took a walk down memory lane in Leeds, where my family lived before moving to Canada 50 years ago. It was a moving experience to return to my first neighborhood.
