Philippe Marchand

Senior Research Associate

After studying social services and sociology, engaging in the student movement, and co-founding a non-profit organization dedicated to critical thinking in Montreal, Philippe worked for 10 years in political communications at the municipal, provincial and mainly federal level in Ottawa. Building on his experience, he then joined a creative marketing agency to conduct research and develop strategies for awareness and engagement campaigns with various provincial and national organizations.

Philippe now supports Environics’ Corporate and Public Affairs team, in English and French, combining his research skills with a wide range of experience in planning and coordinating local and national multi-channel strategic communications initiatives.

As a Senior Research Associate, Philippe enjoys partnering with clients to conduct market and public opinion research that questions the why and digs beyond the obvious. He helps deliver evidence-based findings and insights that inform positioning, campaign branding, communications strategy, messaging, and creative materials that resonate with target audiences.
