About the Team – Corporate & Public Affairs

The Corporate and Public affairs team at Environics is looking for candidates to join us. We work with a wide range of clients on critical activities, including corporate brand and reputation, corporate responsibility, government/public affairs, public policy, regulatory matters, thought leadership, and employee engagement. We assist organizations with their stakeholder relations: with politicians, civil servants, customers and local communities, clients, shareholders, trade associations, think tanks, business groups, charities, unions, and the media.

Our work touches on and is influenced by key societal issues and trends: environment/climate, energy transition, diversity and inclusion, the pandemic and its aftermath, housing, transportation, education, health care, etc.

The Position

The Corporate and Public Affairs team is looking to add consultants with experience in public affairs research, public engagement, and/or stakeholder engagement.

Applicants must have a related educational background and at least five years of experience in a relevant field, including time in a research or consulting agency providing services to public, private, and/or NGO clients.

You Have
  • A post-secondary degree, preferably in social science, business, or communications/marketing.
  • Foundational training in market research methods from a research analyst program or similar
  • Experience working with a range of research inquiry, discovery, qualitative and quantitative methods
  • An appetite to work in a fast-paced environment that will challenge you to deliver your best work
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and/or projects at once
  • Demonstrated analytical and data synthesis abilities, from designing research all the way to interpretation and presentation
  • Effective communication, data visualization, story-telling skills, and the ability to comfortably present to a range of audiences
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Team and client management skills, to take the lead on specific projects or assignments
  • Experience and interest in qualitative techniques, including facilitating individual and small group discussions, as well as reporting on qualitative findings
  • A strong understanding of the research/engagement process, from beginning to end
  • A proven ability to effectively work independently along with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and to work in a team setting, including training, and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

  • Work hands on with data used by a range of organizations to determine communications marketing and business strategies based on human–driven insights.
